M.A Admission Process

MA admissions are based on the merit lists released by the universities and for the colleges. Once the applications for entrance test or the merit list have been released by the university, you can easily apply for admissions in that particular institute. Few colleges operate their own entrance examination for admission in MA.

Step 1:- fill the application form, uploading of required documents as per the guidelines and fee payment.

Step 2:-  Visit the official page of the institution and go through and all the details related to MA admissions and then select the subject in which you wish to pursue your MA course.

Then the closing of application forms, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the merit list released that will be prepared by keeping in mind the score of your graduation course. In few colleges and you might have to appear for entrance exams too, to get admission in MA.

M.A Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for admission in MA course will need to eligible the eligibility criteria before applying. who are ineligible will be rejected at any time of the admission process and will not be entertained further. The following points are the eligibility criteria which is to be met by the candidate.

  • Before applying, candidates studying three-year degree programme will have needed to pass all subjects from the 1st to 4th semester, while applicants who pursued a four-year course, should have passed in all subjects from the 1st to 6th semester.
  • Candidates should have successfully completed their Bachelor’s degree (preferably arts) of a minimum 3 or 4-year duration with its equivalent (10+2+3 or 10+2+4). The bachelor’s or master’s degree should be from a university which is recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission) of India.
  • The candidate needs to have a minimum of 55% aggregate at graduation level. The cut-off varies from college to college.
  • Candidates need to note that if the information provided on the application is incorrect or misleading at any point of the admission process, the candidate’s admission will be cancelled. Universities, institutes also reserve the right to take any legal action as deemed fit.
